Rogier van der Kruk, geboren 09-06-1958 Rotterdam, bezocht aldaar de kunstacademie, na de eindexpositie  werkte hij bijna 30 jaar als vrijeschoolleraar op de zeister vrije school, Tussen de drukte van het werk, en in het werk zelf, was er altijd wel plaats voor kunst, Door speciale technieken met houtskoolpoeder, roet, klein beetje kleur, onstonden de houtnerfschilderijen, sensueel mystiek, ze dromen in het hout! 

Ook vinden we veel expressionisme in de vele acryl schilderijen, erg leuk is de grote collektie miniatuur schilderijen,met nostagische lijst.

Verder werkt hij aan de ontwikkeling van grot-schilderijen, in de stijl van Lascauex, Cro magnon, ze lijken wel echt steen maar het is werk op canvas.

Rogier van der Kruk is a Dutch painter. He was born 09-06-1958 Rotterdam, Holland. He went to Art College in Rotterdam, finished in 1978 His occupations are Painter, Drawer and Teacher in Art.  Spent  most of his time as a teacher in the Waldorfschool, until 2009, now he works mostly with wood and acryllic paint, trying to make a bridge to  expressionisme in  wood  and on acrylic  paint. He also works on  old foto-techniques, like gum-bichromaat  printings, he gives also workshops on old  fotographie, and expressionistic self portaits, intresting for  company celbrations.

Rogier started his work and collection "Voices in Wood" in 1993, at this moment the collection consists of more than 60 wood paintings. Although he began in black and white, it was only later in 2000 that he added a touch of bleu and some colours and in the year 2002, the work is also done in Wood Sculpture.

"Voices in Wood" is an ode to the nearly sensual hidden traces in wood. The painter is inspired mostly by all kind of wood, patterns, and colours in wood.
